TheBat (jpeg image) is a break-through three-dimensional digital controller, which enables to settle in a pointer's position in a three-dimensional environment. It consists in a comfortable pen connected to a base (jpeg image), where four ultrasound transducers are located. Simply moving the pen over the base, in a range from 0.05 mt. to 1 mt. of distance, it generates the exact position of the pointer and then it sends instantaneously data to the USB interface connected to the computer (jpeg). It can send, continuously or step by step, x, y and z coordinates in various formats including 5.1 Surround™ panning.
This professional tool may also be used in three-dimensional real time drawing paths or trajectories into compatible software. Aimed to real-time Spatialisation™ performance or Surround™ production, it could be also useful in other computer-related applications, such as computer graphic or domotics. next
