	TheBat Controller software for Windows XP is a ReWire application too. Under MacOS X, the X-Spat Controller provides all is needed for TheBat and for Mac OS 9.xx you can find a MAX/MSP object with some examples. The PC GUI will provide a quick reference of the movement in a small window and, mainly, will let you choose what kind of MIDI controllers TheBat can send, as raw X, Y and Z coordinates or as Surrond™ panning controls. The Z coordinate could be used to control the LFE channel in real time, simply setting the properly MIDI message. If you own also an X-Spat, you can access all the parameters through the Settings window. You can freely position up to 8 speakers or recall one of the provided Surround™ preset... your movements will be translated in MIDI messages!

TheBat Controller software interface (click on the image at left for a larger and complete view) let you use your powerful 3D controller with almost all the most used Surround™ and 3D Audio workstation and software. You will need to use an internal MIDI driver like MIDIYoke if you plan to use the controller on the same computer that is hosting the audio application.

You can also use TheBat Controller software if you want to control five or more channels of a digital mixer accepting MIDI commands like the Mackie D8b or the Yamaha digital series. If your equipment can accept X, Y and Z coordinates as MIDI messages, you can also change the output type in the MIDI Out settings area to XYZ and directly control the source in your three-dimensional environment.

TheBat can be connected directly to IMEASY or IMEASY LE software, and, in this case, TheBat Controller software interface must not be launched because the hardware send to the applications the X, Y, and Z coordinates by serial or USB interface.

It is also possible to position the speakers as you prefer and to set up the dimensions of the environment where you will perform, your settings can be saved and recall and some default settings are provided with the application.
